Summer Woes Of FLIP FLOPS Read Before It's Too Late!

I wanted to share with everyone the foot problems that I have been dealing with lately. It started about 2 years ago with just mild pain in my heels and has grown into excruciating pain now. All due to wearing flip flops almost everyday!!

THIS SUMMER SHOE DESIGN IS BEST. WHEN CHOOSING A DESIGN, LOOK FOR A MINIMUM HEEL OF 1-2" THAT WILL SHIFT YOUR BODY WEIGHT TO THE BALL OF YOUR FOOT. CORK INSOLES ARE ALSO GREAT FOR CUSHIONING.

Flip flops are the worst shoe that you can sport in terms of foot health. They are flat and hard. This type of design not only offers no arch support, but also causes a constant pounding on the bottom ligaments of the feet. The ligaments become so inflamed that the damage becomes irreversible. I am now facing cortisone injections in both heels. I tell you this because it is awful and I don't want it happening to YOU! :(

"Sorceress" - A Spellbinding Blend For Fall/Halloween!

These are some quick pics of my first of this upcoming Halloween/Fall Collection. This is called "Sorceress".

It is a sheer clear topping that can go over any color to create an opaque, yet decorative, fashionable look! It features multi-shades of blues, brown, and black glitters and flakies. And, it has a light scent of black licorice!

Health & Beauty Tip - 07/17/12:

Always cut toenails straight across, leaving the edges longer and squared off. If you don't you are looking for the inevitable "ingrown toenail"! If you do end up suffering from such condition, clean the nail with anti-bacterial soap and warm water, pat dry and carefully pack under the sides of the ingrown area using an orangewood stick, cotton that has been soaked in rubbing alcohol. This will steralize the irritation/infection and lift the corners upward as your nail is growing out, avoiding any further inward growth. This really works!! Remember to always consult with your doctor as this could lead to a serious problem!

BEAUTY TIP:  HOW TO MAXIMIZE YOUR MANI WITH MINIMAL CHIPPING AND PEELING:
Before polishing, be sure your nails are clean and dry.  Immediately before polishing, rub each of your nail beds with rubbing alcohol.  This will remove any excess natural oils or lotion residue that can be a culprit for a peeling or short lived mani!

BEAUTY TIP OF THE DAY:
How To Minimize Breakage Of Your Natural Nails:
File your nails from the outside toward the center in one direction.  Filing back and forth (like sawing down a tree) will break down the edges and creating snags that cause breakage.

Finish filing with use of a fine buffer to smooth the tops and sides of the nails.  This will minimize ridges in the nail bed that can also lead to fingernail breakage.
